Testing

Promotional testing is held once a quarter, just before final exams at UC Davis. All students are encouraged to test if they are ready. Students are tested on basic movements, striking, poomse, sparring, board breaking, knowledge and discipline.

White to Yellow Belt: One board Side Kick
Yellow to Orange Belt: One board Sliding Side Kick
Orange to Purple Belt: One board Axe Kick plus One board Back Kick
Purple to Green Belt: One board Jumping Back Kick plus One board Palm Strike
Green to Blue Belt: One board Jumping Front Kick plus One board Elbow Strike
Blue to Brown Belt: One board Spinning Heel Kick plus One board Knife Hand Strike
Brown to Red Belt: One board Flying Side Kick (1-2 obstacles) plus One board Middle Punch
Red to Red Black Belt: Two board Flying Side Kick (3-4 obstacles) plus One cement slab

Testing Costs

Testing fees cover costs of boards or bricks broken as well as the new belt awarded during the belt ceremony. Checks should be written out to Seyed Ahmad and turned in during class no later than the day of testing.

Beginners - $30

• White to Yellow
• Yellow to Orange

Intermediate - $35

• Orange to Purple
• Purple to Green
• Green to Blue

Advanced - $40

• Blue to Brown
• Brown to Red
• Red to Red Black
